Gaelic Football

Sacred Heart NS, Williamstown has a strong link with Williamstown GAA, and its Junior Club Northern Gaels. The school also has a strong tradition of involvement in Cumann na mBunscol, an organisation that promotes Gaelic Games in Primary schools. Each year the school would compete in the CnmB Mini 7s competiton which is ran in Term 1. As a small rural school we have achieved success on a number of occasions over the years, with some students also selected to compete in the National Mini 7s exhibition games in Croke Park during All Ireland Football and Hurling semi finals and finals.

In Term 3 the school also competes in local blitzes with schools in the locality. There is a strong tradition of Gaelic Football in this area of the county.
