As part of the Department of Education and Youth’s Primary Schoolbooks Scheme, Sacred Heart NS Williamstown provides all pupils with the schoolbooks, workbooks and copybooks required for their education, free of charge. The scheme is designed to remove the cost of these items from parents and guardians, with funding provided directly to schools by the Department. Schoolbooks supplied under the scheme remain the property of the school and are provided to pupils for their use during the school year. Parents are therefore not required to purchase schoolbooks, workbooks or copybooks. We ask that parents ensure that schoolbooks are cared for and minded well throughout the year. Where significant damage has occurred or books have been lost, parents may be asked to replace the books.
